Best Captain America Titan Hero Series

Marvel’s Captain America has quite a few versions in the Titan Hero Series. Surprisingly there are similarities in most versions, but the easy winner is . . .

Captain America, Steve Rogers, the leader of the Avengers, has 10 action figure versions in the Titan Hero Series:

  • 4 classic comic book versions
  • 6 movie versions

Stay down. Final warning.

Best Captain America Titan Hero Series: Winner

The best Captain America in the Titan Hero Series is … Avengers: Endgame with Power FX Launcher! Hasbro has done a great job here by making the Power FX accessory in the shape of the iconic round shield (and fires a missile) and it can be shared with other compatible figures – which gives this figure the best balance for availability, accessories, and value for money.

Pros

  • includes Power FX Launcher, in the shape of iconic shield
  • easier to find – from most recent movie
  • two Power FX ports (back and arm)
  • “time heist” uniform, with Captain America helmet (non-removable)

Cons

  • slightly more expensive vs standalone figures

I highly recommend buying the winning Captain America on Amazon:

Runner Up

If you do not want to pay extra for the Power FX accessory or you already have one, the standalone Endgame figure or the comic book figures are fine as they include the shield accessory.

Comic Book Versions

These 4 figures are very similar to each other because they all come in the classic blue suit and, most importantly, all include his iconic shield.

Note the earliest version of this Cap figure has shoulders on a hinge joint. This is a general rule that can used for all Titan Hero Series action figures: hinge-jointed shoulders mean it is from a very early series.

Movie Versions

Avengers: Endgame

The most recent movie and therefore the action figures you are most likely to see in the shops.

Aside from the winner, the other available version comes with the shield accessory, and also has two Power FX ports on the figure. He is in the full Captain America uniform here, identical to comic book versions, and is looking great.

Pros

  • Power FX built-in, with the button on their chest (non-removable)
  • communicate with other figures in same series
  • includes iconic shield accessory

Cons

  • more expensive than other figures
  • much heavier than others figures
  • difficult to find
  • Power FX can’t be shared with other figures

Avengers: Infinity War

These 2 figures are unique because they are the only ones with any resemblance to Chris Evans because they do not have the Captain America helmet/cowl on.

As is the case for most Titan Hero Series figures, the deluxe version of this Captain America comes with the Power FX pack accessory. This figure also come with two shields/gauntlets which he uses in the film, and is not the iconic round shield.

The other figure for Infinity War is probably the worst version in this list because it does not include any accessories, and has only one port on the back.

Special Mention: Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War

The two figures for these movies are quite special but I will put them together here because they have many similarities

Pros

  • Power FX built-in, with the button on their chest (non-removable)
  • communicate with other figures in same series
  • includes iconic shield accessory

Cons

  • more expensive than other figures
  • much heavier than others figures
  • difficult to find
  • Power FX can’t be shared with other figures

They also both have a unique feature where they can communicate with another figure in the same series. If Cap’s chest button is pressed near the figures below (Hulkbuster being particularly awesome), the nearby figures will respond with phrases of their own!

If you are a huge fan of the AoU or CW movies, or you have the Iron Man/Hulkbuster figures from this series, or just really love Captain America, the two Cap figures from those movies are also worth considering.
